Christmas Berries on Vellum

I thought I would try a Christmas card made with vellum!  I used two of the new Simon Says Stamp sets for my card, Winter Flowers and Christmas Essentials, stamped with versamark, gold embossed and colored with markers from behind, on a card long piece of vellum...
Some thin gold twine would be nice, I used gold THREAD and braided three pieces to make the thread more hefty...I HAD to have the right gold to match the gold embossing, and despite the time and effort it took to make the twine(probably longer than it took to stamp and color the card), I think it is a pretty finishing touch and with a vellum card, kind of necessary.  Pictures don't do the gold embossing justice, but here's a closeup that shows it a bit better than the first pic...

Oh...edited to add...make sure you use an embossing powder bag(have one linked below)...absolutely necessary to swipe over your vellum before stamping and embossing to keep the powder from showing up where you don't want it!!  Such a fun, and easy card to make for Christmas!!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! We Wish You a Merry Christmas

I made a fun Christmas card with the Simon Says Stamp die, Jingle Snowflakes, and a sentiment from the new Simon stamp set, Holiday Message Strips.  I thought this wonderful sentiment stamp needed some music, so I paired it with the die and some red and green patterned paper to sandwich the die cut music/snowflakes between...
I layered the die cut 3 times.  I adhered the red and green papers together with some Eclipse tape before die cutting the musical staff onto the papers, this made it easier to die cut without having the papers move or shift and make the cut of the die "off".  I then flipped the papers over, and with the die cut staffs, I adhered pop up tape and squares on all parts of the flakes and papers to pop the whole panel off of the white card.  I stamped the sentiment with versamark, and white embossed.  Here's a close up...
This card reminds me of an Italian flag...well a sideways one...but thought the red, white and green were "Christmasy"...such fun!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Four Die Cut Rainbow Birthday Cards

I have been on a roll with scraps!   I had 3 scraps of rainbow paper strips on my desk, and knowing I couldn't use them for a very sizeable sentiment, or very many, I tried to make the most and came up with FOUR simply done birthday cards...
This one used two Papertrey Ink dies, the "birthday" layered 3 times underneath the color.  The HAPPYs are adhered to the card(and not perfectly I must admit...oh well...perfection is highly overrated...and this was my second attempt, and I became too tired to care...I think it STILL looks nice:)?!!).  That IS the only problem with Glossy Accents used on a die cut that you adhere directly to a card...you only get one shot at precise...once you lay it down, moving it leaves a trail of glue goo, so if you don't get it right, it's a trail of glue goo, a redo, or a boo boo...mine is a boo boo.  I'm laughing at myself:):)!!  Here's a close up...
This is the second one I made with the same scrap as the first, again using the Papertrey Ink "birthday" die.  The "HAPPY" is a cut apart sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Tiny Tags stamp set.  Used a black background using the backside of the patterned paper that I used for the last card on this post:):)...using ANOTHER scrap!!...and the pattern of the background matches the pattern on the "birthday"...
 ...a close up...
The third one uses a die from Reverse Confetti and the same "HAPPY" from the previous card...
I used an impression plate from Papertrey Ink to add a little interest without having to add another element to the diagonal rainbow(the only way I could make the die fit the scrap...kinda like the diagonal lines!!)...
The last, but not least, is one very similiar to one I made a few months ago, except, this time with a black background(matching the pattern of the sentiment) and no stamped sentiment...

and a close up...
Oh, I am having sooooo much fun!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Christmas Tags

I've been visiting with family for the last week...my daughter, husband and their doggies went home yesterday and I took to getting back in my craft room.  I made some Christmas tags with the Lawn Fawn Tiny Tags dies and Tiny Tags Sayings stamp set that I just got...along with a few other things:)...
OK...SERIOUS FUN!!!  I used an older Martha Stewart punch for the holly leaves and berries, the hearts and stars are Simon Says Stamp, the tiny snowflakes are Lawn Fawn dies...some glossy accents, red and white embossing powders, and rhinestones...dressing up these little tags isn't necessary....they are super cute, but thought they looked a little more "Christmasy" dressed up.  The stamped kraft cardstock with stripes and dots(looks like snow...can't remember what I stamped it with) were leftovers from other projects..oh how I love to use and reuse things that otherwise might get thrown out!! Here are close ups from all the tags as well as the backs of each...
