Owl Ornaments

I used the adorable new Simon Says Stamp Plush Little Owl to make a couple Christmas tree ornaments...
These little guys are so stinkin cute!!  I made one a white faced gray owl with the yellow eyes and the other a brown owl.  You could make them all fun colors, too...they would  be great to give wrapped on a Christmas present for a keepsake!!   I die cut the eyes from a circle die cut and used enamel dots for the the eyes.  I DID use a smaller heart than the one that came with the die, for my hearts.  Here's the brown one...
Just to give you an idea of how little the Little Owl is...it fits in the palm of your hand...2 1/2" from head to toe.
Oh...I think I will be making a lot more of these before Christmas...not only are they adorable, stitching is such relaxing fun!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

CAS(E) this Sketch...You are Amazing

I've made a card for this week's CAS(E) this Sketch!  Here's my card and the sketch...

I used the sweet new Simon Says Stamp stamp/die set You Matter, along with their stitched Square dies for today's card.
I soooo wanted a pink, orange, black theme...but if you haven't found that out yet, things sometimes have a way of changing!!  Oh...how many colors I tried.   I even TRIED gray, but neither black nor gray were quite right.  With a black "YOU",  both the black and gray blended in to much...didn't allow the die cut sentiment to stand out...so the black square became yellow...
I loved Donna's card this week, so I felt as though I was in great company with these three colors!    I layered and glossy accented the "You" and added a cut up sentiment atop the stamped background.  Here's a close up...
Love this You Matter set!!...and the wonderful sketch this week, to use it with!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
***EDITED***

Geometric Greenery Thanks

I used the My Favorite Things Geometric Greenery stamps as a background for today's card...
I put all the leaf stamps fromt the set onto a large acrylic block...
I stamped them on a mustard colored cardstock with Simon Goldenlocks ink and moved the block around the card, stamping to fill in the entire panel.  I then swiped the ink onto another piece of the mustard colored cardstock and die cut with the stitched rectangle die, for a darker stand out panel, then adhered the die cut and layered "many thanks"(received free with my last order from MFT Stamps) to that colored panel...
The cool thing about creating...it really IS endless...as endless as your imagination and thoughts...and we all have both...just keep thinking and looking for inspiration!!  Such fun!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Autumn Blessings

I recently got the new Simon Says Stamp Autumn Greetings stamp set(LOVE these wonderful sentiments!!), and used it with the not so new sweet Simon Stitched Pumpkins to make another Fall card...ahhhh...I LOVE Fall!!...
I die cut and layered the pumpkins from patterned cardstock, and die cut the stems with the same dies from dark brown cardstock and added leaves and green vines(really thin cardstock twirled around a skinny paint brush).  The ground was made using yet another Simon die from Stitched Slopes and Hills die set.  Here's a close up of the pumpkins...
The fun just never ends when I'm in my craft room!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

With Sympathy

I happened to go over to My Favorite Things Blog the other day(for those of you who know me, I don't "get out" much!) to look up the name of the flowers I was using on my card, and discovered a contest...a HUGE CONTEST!!  Everyone is able to enter 3 cards into the contest,  tonight at 10pm is the deadline...and there will be TEN winners!!...hey...I am going to make the most of my chances😊😊!!...and this is my third...
I used the Scribble Roses dies and their Overlays dies along with the smallest of the Layered Leaves.  The sentiment is from the August Card Kit, All Occasion Sentiments.  I used my beloved paint chips to get some shading for my rose and it's leaves...
Good luck to all those who have entered the contest...this has been SUCH GREAT FUN!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Grateful with Berkshire Leaves

I used the new Simon Says Stamp Grateful die and combined it with the older Simon die, Berkshire Leaves die and made a Fall card...
I colored the bottom layer of one of the die cut leaves with Sharpie markers, and adhered two layers on top of the colored die cut with the leaves removed.  One of the die cuts layers I used was from the die cut I made across the card panel.  The sentiment was so much fun...I die cut the brown "Grateful" and then die cut a white background and die cut the sentiment OUT OF THAT BACKGROUND.  I layered the background a couple times.  I then adhered the brown die cut sentiment into the cut out background along with all the little middle pieces from the letters.  Here's a close up...
I love the color of Fall...what "GRATE" fun 😆😆!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Layering Leaves Thankful

I found and ordered the much sought after Concord and 9th Layering Leaves dies...another thing waiting for me when I returned from Florida:)!!  This set of dies has such amazing potential!!...
I die cut and layered the stalks of wheat.  The bottom layer, I left the centers of the wheat in the die cut stalk, and I colored with sharpie markers in 3 shades of brown.  The nice thing with doing it this way...you can color outside the lines, because it's covered up when you adhere the other two layers over the top...

The sentiment is from Hobby Lobby, made by My Sentiments Exactly.  I tried a bunch of sentiments, and although the thickness of and the font itself may not really "go" with the die, I just liked it!!  Sometimes that's the thing that wins out over logic and sense!  I opted to keep the theme white with the touches of color in the wheat and sentiment...kind of liked it, too:)!  Here's a close up...
I DO have such fun...I Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
